History of the domain :
Our wineyard and our domain are situated in Cour-Cheverny, in the very heart of the Loire Valley, at the gates of the Sologne, between Cheverny and Chambord castles.
Our family has been working in the wine industry since the 17th century .
After a series of experiences in france and abroad, such as Spain "Bodega Valduero", New Zealand "Stoneleigh
Vineyard", Benoit Daridan managed the 14 acres domain since 2001
The main wine productions are:
A.O.C Cheverny (white, red, rosé)
A.O.C Cour-Cheverny
(Romorantin grape variety, cuvée tardive (sweet wine)
Vin de pays, Méthode traditionnelle (sparkling wine))
Cultivation methods :
Our cultivation methods are environmentally friendly on a soil
composed of loam and silica. There, a grape variety called Romorantin (established by François Ist in the countryside)
provides an exceptionnal sweet wine (late grape picking).
All our wineyard is pruned short so that we produce a wine of better quality.
The AOC
AOC Cheverny (White, red, rosé) Gathers 24 villages.
White wines, tasting like fruits, are mainly composed of White Sauvignon (85%). Chardonnay balances the wine.
Red wines, also tasting fruits are mainly composed of Pinot Noir, and Gamay
Rosés, soft and fruity wines, are composed of the same grape varieties
